Hello there, my soulful and sassy friend.
I’m wondering if this sounds like you?
You are a self proclaimed self-help junkie with a shelf full of books and a hard drive full of courses. You are on a serious mission to be the very best version of yourself and to improve the quality of your life.
It’s not that your life is shit, exactly. On the outside, it all looks pretty good. Great, even.
You have all the things you are “supposed to” want. You might even have a picket fence and 2.5 beautiful children. Maybe you got a degree, followed by a decent job, and you drive a nice car.
If you told your friends or family that you want more from your life, they’d probably look at you like you have three heads. They might even tell you that you should just be grateful for what you have. So many people are worse off, after all.
But, when you’re wide awake in the middle of the night, dreading another day of the status quo, you know that something is missing.
You really want your life to feel like YOURS, rather than the life you’ve been expected to live. You want to show up as your Whole self and maybe even let your secret mystic out of the closet.
You want something deeper. Something more meaningful. Something that feels both personal and connected, all at the same time.
And being the doer that you are, you’ve tried everything.
But once you really start making progress, you seem to sabotage yourself by comparing yourself to other people (Facebook, much?) and letting the terror of what other people will think run the show.
This leads you into a pit of despair where you are left wondering what the hell is wrong with you.
It’s pretty frustrating and kind of embarrassing, actually.
In fact, you might even be scared to talk to anyone about all of this because no one seems to really get it (and maybe have a tendency to be a wee judgmental).
So, you quietly suffer, reading your self help and hoping that you’ll find the answers soon.
You are in the right place if that sounds like you.
Not because I have all the answers (I don’t) but because I’ve been down this road about 7.8 gabazillion times and I’ve learned some things along the way and I want to share those things with you.
Here is the most important thing:
There is absolutely nothing wrong with you. You are not too much of this or too little of that. You have everything it takes to create a meaningful and fulfilling life on your terms, starting, like, right now.
Everything you are going through to create the kind of change you are craving is completely normal. You aren’t broken and the Universe does not have it out for you.
What is happening, though, is that you are getting stuck in the Natural Rhythm of Change instead of flowing with it. This natural rhythm is always giving us clues and signs about how to move forward but we often misread them.
We think falling into old habits means we suck. Or that the opposite of what we want showing up means that it just isn’t meant to be. Or if we give the people we care about a peek of the “real” us and they freak out then we think we need to go back into hiding.
We get stuck in our heads and buried in self doubt. We fall back into the comparison trap and, yes, we even “sabotage” ourselves.
But once we understand the Natural Rhythm of Change, and can recognize it as it’s happening, we can start to flow with it instead of fight against it. This doesn’t mean things go perfectly. They don’t.
But, it does open us up in a way that we can still move towards what we really want, even when things aren’t going the way we thought they would or our mind starts throwing us curve balls made of doubt. (<<<< that would be #lifechanging, no?)
And when that happens, we find the confidence to just be ourselves, the courage and tenacity to keep going, and the satisfaction that can only come from a perfectly messy and meaningful life.
We stop living by default and start living on purpose.
My name is Christie Inge, and I’m a Master Energy Healer and Life Coach.
I can help you rediscover who you are, under all the layers of should be. I’ll help you reconnect with what is most important to you and teach you the skills necessary to move through the Natural Rhythm of Change without letting fear and doubt stop you.
Because that is what creates a truly meaningful life.
I’m like Harry Potter meets Samantha from Sex in the City meets Olivia Pope from Scandal.
In other words, I’m a straight talkin’, magic making, project manager for your life.
I love a good plan for making shit happen, just as much as I love doing energy work.
I’m equal parts creative and linear thinker.
I love a good pair of walking shoes and I carry crystals in my bra.
I don’t ascribe to any particular religious theory. Instead, I prefer to revel in the here and now by honoring the Divine that is everywhere and in everything. One of my deepest joys in life comes from helping you discover your own relationship to that thing some call God as you walk the path of creating a life that feels like YOURS.
I call ’em like I see ’em and writing is my happy place.
Though the school of hard knocks is the best school I know of, I’m certified in three modalities as a coach and two as an energy healer.
But more important than all of that, I created a life that feels meaningful to me. I stopped living by default and starting living on purpose.
But it wasn’t always that way.
I’m in recovery from drugs, alcohol, bad boys, and binge eating. I once had a therapist tell me that people with stories like mine jump off of bridges. I spent most of my life avoiding my own Truth at all costs.
By practicing what I’d like to teach you, I’m not only making peace with my past but I’m moving forward and taking consistent actions towards what is really important to me.
I’m grateful and proud to say that:
- I no longer drink, smoke, or do drugs.
- The last time I binge ate was the summer of 2008.
- I no longer deprive myself of the nourishment I need, food or otherwise.
- I can go into Target without buying a thing.
- I’m in a loving marriage with plenty of healthy boundaries.
- I have the most unconditionally loving and accepting friends a girl could ask for.
- I get to help women, just like you, create lives that are meaningful and fulfilling to them.
I still have ups and downs. That’s life. That is the awesome thing about aiming to live a meaningful life, instead of a perfect one. It gets to be messy. And we get to be human.
If that sounds like what you are looking for, I’d love for you to stick around. The best place to start is my free email series. Drop your name and email in the boxes below and then check your inbox. I look forward to connecting with you there.
