The Human Design Head Center is a pressure center that evokes inspiration, big ideas, and questions. It ponders, wonders, and marvels at life.
The head center takes in life and looks at it from a macro perspective. It takes what it “sees” and turns it into inspiration in the form of high-quality questions.
The questions of the head center can be simplified into three primary questions:
The questions pressure the ajna to transform inspiration into logical, reasonable, and evidence-based answers.
When the head center is well-regulated (no matter our head center definition), we feel inspired, wonder, awe, and curiosity. We see life as full of potential and possibility and trust that everything works itself out.
We are often taught to ask ourselves disempowering questions, to doubt, and to leave the “big questions” to outer “authorities.”
And since the head center definition is rare (only 30% of the population), there can often be an obsession with “being inspired” and thinking about things that don’t matter at all.
So, today, I have some affirmations to support regulating the head center.
You can use these affirmations whether your head is defined or undefined. They will be especially useful if you want to work with doubt, confusion, and indifference in a more empowering way. Or if you want to move into the trust that life has a way of working itself out.
Affirmations for the Human Design Head Center
I use doubt as a gateway into possibility.
I believe in myself.
I explore my doubts with curiosity and grace.
I revel in the mystery of life.
My inner truth is enough.
I find the golden thread of truth in all things.
My life is full of potential and possibilities.
All I need to know is the next step.
I give myself permission to play in the land of imagination.
(Have one of these gates in your incarnation cross? I do a deep dive of all four gates of your cross in the Human Design Map.)
General Head Center
I trust that life has a way of working itself out.
I trust the truth to be revealed at the perfect time.
I ask myself empowering questions and let the rest go.
I believe in my impossible dreams.
I give myself space to revel in wonder, awe, and curiosity.
How to Use These Head Center Affirmations
Our beliefs about ourselves, life, and that thing that some call God deeply inform the way feel and act on a daily basis.
When we have disempowering beliefs, we feel like shit, take disempowering actions, and create unnecessary amounts of our not-self themes.
But when we cultivate empowering beliefs on purpose, we open up to possibility and our inner wisdom. We feel better, take more powerful actions, and create more of our Human Design Signatures.
When you pair these affirmations with actions that match them, you will build a deeper belief that life is full of inspiration, potential, and possibility and in trusting that life is always working itself out.
And that is what having a well-regulated head center is all about!
Here are the steps for working with the head center affirmations:
(or, any affirmations)
- Think the affirmations, on purpose.
- Remind yourself to think them in whatever way works for you.
- Look for evidence that they are already true, either in your life or in the lives of others.
- Notice whether your actions match the affirmations, or not.
- Connect with the version of you that already lives according to the affirmations and notice what that version of you does or doesn’t do on a daily basis. Pay extra attention to what that version of you does in situations where the current version of you gets stuck in old patterns.
- Notice which of the “future self” actions are doable right now.
- Begin taking those actions.
As you do those things, your belief will start to automatically build and your capacity for “doable right now” will expand on its own.
For any places that feel “sticky” and like you just can’t seem to take any aligned actions, that is an indicator of energy “blocks.“
(I teach you how to heal energy “blocks”, based on your design, in the Human Design Map + Deconditioning Portal.)
Either way, as someone with a defined head, I invite you to lean into the trust that life really does have a way of working itself out.
Doubt, confusion, and indifference really can be transformed into wonder, possibility, and faith when you trust yourself, life, and that thing that some call God.
