One of my favorite parts about Human Design is that it gives us a map to taking great care of ourselves. And not in the typical fluffy ways that you find on Pinterest or Instagram.
Our Human Design shows us our “needs” in very specific ways.
The lines in our profile are especially important because they are HOW we “deliver” our gifts to others.
If we don’t take responsibility for meeting the needs of our profile, especially the balance between the “two sides”, we often end up feeling out of sorts and like we can’t face the world.
Taking care of both sides helps us to stay centered in our mind and body.
If you have a 1 in your Profile…
Investigating things and building a foundation of knowledge ensures that you feel secure enough to share what you know with others.
Be sure to prioritize learning, studying, and coming to understand how things work. This is what makes you the expert on any topic you enjoy.
If you have a 2 in your Profile…
Making space to be in your natural flow – without others getting in the way – ensures that you can hone your natural gifts and talents.
Be sure to prioritize spending time alone with nothing on the agenda so that you can do what you want to do when you want to do it. Your “hermit time” will help you to know which projections are correct for sharing your gifts and which ones aren’t.
If you have a 3 in your Profile…
Let go of any conditioning that tells you that you should know how before starting or that making mistakes is a problem. Mistakes, failing, and doing it wrong are the stepping stones to innovation and success.
Be sure to practice compassion for yourself so that you can get back up and try again. Being mean to yourself about mistakes just doesn’t work in the long run.
If you have a 4 in your Profile…
Build your network and become known as a resource for the people you care about. This will create unlimited opportunities for you to thrive.
Be sure to prioritize connecting with others and letting them know what you know.
If you have a 5 in your Profile…
Share your heretical perspectives, why the conventional ways aren’t working, and the practical solutions that do work.
But be sure that you aren’t trying to create solutions just because others expect you to. Be clear about the problems you can solve and the ones you can’t.
Most importantly, let others be disappointed when you say no to their expectations.
If you have a 6 in your Profile…
If you haven’t gone through your first Saturn Return, make all the mistakes and trust that your inner sense that something greater is coming for you.
If you have gone through your Saturn Return but not your Chiron Return, go on the roof to get a higher perspective on the mistakes from your earlier years.
If you have gone through your Chiron Return, now is your time. Show us – rather than tell us – what wisdom looks like when it is deeply embodied.
No matter what age, do your best to practice self-compassion and embrace being a later bloomer.

Take care 😉.
