The Energy Spectrum of Human Design Gate 30
All energy in the Human Design chart exists on a spectrum of potential.
On the “positive” end of the spectrum, Human Design Gate 30 is the energy for reveling in the intensity of desire and emotion. Gate 30 has an innate knowing that a full spectrum of intense feelings are a natural part of the human experience. From this place, it is able to draw in, feel, and process the depths of desire through a lens of human emotion.
On the “negative” end of the spectrum, Human Design Gate 30 is the energy for destructive sensation and/or intensity seeking. Without surrendering to the full spectrum of emotion, Gate 30 can lose it’s faith in life and the connection to desire.
If you don’t like the results that the “negative” side of the spectrum is creating in your life, you can raise the frequency of Gate 30 with a number of boundaries, practices, and tools.
(I cover the practices for the gates of your incarnation cross in The Human Design Map.)
The most important thing to raise the frequency of gate 30 is to trust your inner wisdom by fully exploring your desires and choose which ones to pursue and which ones to let go of.
My personal contemplation of Human Design Gate 30 (Gene Key 30)
It often seems like all of the gates in the chart are my favorite but, for real, I mean it this time. 😉
I don’t have gate 30 defined in my chart and my solar plexus is undefined but I have gathered a lot of wisdom from it.
Many years ago, when I started coaching people, I recognized REALLY quickly that, culturally speaking, there is a huge problem with our capacity to actually process emotions.
Whether it’s trauma, spiritual resistance, or just a plain ole lack of skills, we (at least in the US) are incredibly emotionally immature.
We tend to believe that certain emotions are “bad” and that other emotions are “good.” We are often told that we shouldn’t feel how we do. Some people are even afraid that their emotions can kill them.
As a result, most of us tend to avoid our emotions with things like overeating, drinking, drugs, and these days, scrolling.
And, to be clear, I am including myself in all of those statements!
But when we actually reconnect with our body and start to fully process our emotions (meaning, feel them in our BODY) we access incredible amounts of wisdom in our lives.
And, bringing this back to gate 30, as I have personally deepened into that practice, what I have discovered is that feeling the full spectrum of emotion is what it actually means to be alive. And surrendering to that full experience is a deep desire of the soul.
When we avoid our emotions or have some sort of vendetta against them, we actually miss the whole point.
Now it’s your turn to contemplate Gate 30
When you stand in the truth that the gifts of Gate 30 are available to you, whether it is defined in your chart or not…
What is your relationship to your emotions?
How connected are you to your desire?
What would you do differently if you knew that your soul incarnated to experience the full emotional spectrum of being human?
I encourage you to take some time with these questions. Take them out into your world and let their answers reveal themselves to you. Intend for deeper levels of clarity about gate 30.
