The Energy Spectrum of Human Design Gate 35
All energy in the Human Design chart exists on a spectrum of potential.
On the “positive” end of the spectrum, Human Design Gate 35 is the energy for adventure, emotional experiences, and learning. Gate 35 knows that curiosity is magic and life is meant to be an adventure. It lives life with great courage and eagerly waits for life’s lessons to reveal themselves through adventure.
On the “negative” end of the spectrum, Human Design Gate 35 is the energy for becoming bored and impatient with life. The unsatisfied hunger for adventure can lead to overdoing things like filling sex, food, drugs, alcohol, scroll holes, information seeking, etc. With those emotional buffers in place, Gate 35 struggles to learn from life.
If you don’t like the results that the “negative” side of the spectrum is creating in your life, you can raise the frequency of Gate 35 with a number of boundaries, practices, and tools.
(I cover the practices for the gates of your incarnation cross in the Human Design Map.)
To raise the frequency of gate 35, go on adventures that evoke emotion. Don’t let your mind stop you from seeking the experiences you really want in life. Be willing to explore the depths of your emotions.
My Personal Experience with Human Design Gate 35 (Gene Key 35)
I had a private client for many years that has the full 35/36 channel of transitoriness.
She originally came to my work when I was doing intuitive eating and body image coaching and what an adventure it was.
The most important work we ever did together was her learning how to be present with her emotions. As time passed, she developed a level of emotional maturity that I will forever be in awe of.
Through the same tools I teach in Human Design Map today, she learned how to:
- process her emotions
- access the wisdom inside of them
- heal the “blocks” to honoring that wisdom.
With that solid emotional foundation in place, I had the honor and pleasure of witnessing her Gate 35 come to life.
The longer we worked together, the deeper and richer our conversations became. We navigated some intense emotional situations with immense Grace (Human Design Gate 22).
The thing that I loved most was her insatiable hunger for more.
She was always ready to go on an adventure of the mind, emotions, and soul. Her curiosity was delightfully endless. She genuinely just wanted the experience of the adventure and had little attachment to where we ended up.
As I write this, I can see the full circle of our time together.
One of the first programs she ever did with me was called Hungry For More.
At that time, I didn’t know a thing about Human Design. I didn’t know that my intuitive understanding of energy had numbers and names.
But I did understand that our “bad” habits are often the result of a deeper hunger that can’t be filled by food, drugs, sex, or scroll holes.
I knew that the more willing we are to own and honor those true hungers, the more satisfied, successful, peaceful, and delighted we feel in our lives.
And I knew that our emotions are the keys to unlocking it all.
When we lean into our emotions and trust the wisdom inside of them, we unlock the adventures that we long for. We have the fuel necessary to go our there and live life to the fullest – whatever that means for us. We begin to understand that we are spiritual being having a human experieince and that it is meant to be an adventurous game.
As I’ve so often talked about with my Human Design Map clients, emotions are energy (in motion). As in, the thing that makes life do what it does and what an adventure it is when we allow that.
What a beautiful lesson for me to learn and witness.
I am grateful to have watched her step into such a beautiful expression of the 35/36. She will go down in history as one of the most significant client relationships in my life.
I’m still in touch with her today. And I trust that our work together prepared her well for her next great adventure.
