On the “negative” end of the spectrum, Human Design Gate 57 is the energy for not trusting your intuition or writing off your intuitive knowing because there is nothing logical to back it up. This lack of trust can lead to trusting other people’s opinions or overriding intuitive wisdom with logic, reason, and mental rationalization and creating a life that is frustrating, bitter, anger-filled, or disappointing.
Start noticing when you are feeling indecisive, intrusive or “too” spontaneous, but don’t be an asshole to yourself. Treat yourself the way you would a small child – with love, curiosity, and understanding.

In your own life, the conscious sun gate will keep inviting you to expand your capacity to hold its entire range of expression . The purpose isn’t to avoid the low or to chase the high. It’s to stay present with all of it and use what you learn on purpose .
In some cases, you’ll discover that the more “taboo” ways of using the energy are the exact right next step. Other times, it will be the “golden” ways that do the job. Either way, your soul is calling you to use it with your eyes wide open.
Who you become through that process is your greatest potential for this incarnation.

And for me, with my conscious sun in Gate 57, the Lucid Intuitive, it’s been a journey.
For much of my life, I was on a path of repeatedly ignoring my intuition and regretting it later.
I would get very clear NO signals but I would discount them. I’d tell myself that my intuition was illogical and, therefore, not valuable. Sometimes, I’d even have wild intuitive hits about my clients – insights that could help them – but I would hold back.
I was afraid of being seen as weird, crazy, or irrational.
We all tone our gifts down like this. We do it in different ways depending on our design and conditioning. It’s all the subtle ways we talk ourselves out shining too brightly. We convince ourselves it’s too much, they won’t get it, or, worse, they will burn us at the stake.
So we hide. Stay quiet. Get smaller.
And our gifts go unseen and undervalued.
One of the most subtle ways I did this was ignoring my suspicions about people. From a young age, I was taught that those feelings were wrong or “of the devil.” So I stopped trusting myself. When I felt suspicious about someone or something, I told myself I was the problem.
I didn’t see it as my splenic authority alerting me to danger.
That changed after an earth-shattering experience with a well-known business coach.
My colleagues wouldn’t stop talking about this guy. They made him sound like the best thing since sliced bread, and you were crazy if you didn’t buy everything he sold.
But when I visited his website, my whole body said NO. I felt repulsed. Like they were the crazy ones. My suspicion went into overdrive.
I talked myself out of it, though. I believed that because “all the cool kids” were hiring him, I should too. I betrayed my body’s knowing. I shelled out thousands of dollars and booked the first session.
And I paid the price, literally and metaphorically.
But paying the price is exactly what happens when we trade inner clarity for external validation. Those are the patterns – the very real world actions – that keep our gifts undervalued.
I won’t get into the details, but my suspicions were 100 percent spot the fuck on.
After that, I started paying close attention to sensations of suspicion, mistrust, and leeriness. If I picked up “bad vibes” at all, I started trusting them more and more.
I’d walk away, no questions asked. And if people thought I was weird, strange, or crazy, I had no fucks left to give.
In hindsight, that was my conscious sun at work. Life was inviting me to embrace the full range of expression in gate 57. Sometimes, intuitive clarity isn’t pretty or comfortable. Sometimes, it’s gritty, and dark, and hard to embrace. But it all holds a message, direction, and deep value.
And my clients benefit from that, too. Because the more I trust myself, the more they trust themselves. Not because of what I can teach them. But because of who I am being in the world.
The same is true in your own chart. And it’s the real work of human design: looking yourself straight in the eyes, telling yourself the truth about your experience, and channeling your energy with deep conviction that it holds value. For yourself and for everyone you encounter. Even when other people think it’s weird.
