As someone obsessed with shadow integration and parts work, the unconscious sun is one of the most interesting gates of the whole chart.
The unconscious side of the chart reveals the wounds, the golden shadow parts, and the stories that keep us stuck and prevent the full potential of our purpose and contribution on the conscious side of the chart.
The unconscious sun in particular represents the part of ourselves that is actually our most attractive quality to the world (in a platonic way).
But, it doesn’t always feel that way on the inside because it is also where we “store” our self-doubt and “not-enoughness.” And, it is a doorway that opens our Golden Shadows. Once we recognize the magick that is our unconscious sun, we begin a journey of healing all of the shadows on the unconscious side.
For me, with Gate 62 in my unconscious sun, it means that my way with words is highly magnetic to the people around me.
My whole life, people have commented on my ways with words, especially the way I can organize and explain esoteric concepts. They love how I break things down and make even convoluted concepts (like Human Design !) seem clear.
I’m celebrated for step-by-step guidance, clear and piercing language, and busting myths.
But what most people don’t see or understand is that, while these things do come quite naturally to me, they have also been my deepest sources of inner turmoil. 😲
For most of my life, I would beat myself up about not knowing how to explain things. Or not being specific enough. Or not giving enough details.
Not enough. Not enough. Not enough.
In many ways, these insecurities have also been a source of deep bitterness because the story of “not enough” almost always leads to people-pleasing, an imbalance in giving and receiving, and wasting a lot of energy “making sure” I have all the facts before speaking.
But, when I understood the nature of the unconscious sun, it unlocked something for me that really changed this dynamic.
I started to notice those insecurities instead of acting them out.
I felt the feelings. I did the shadow integration work. I reclaimed the fractured parts of my power. And I started making conscious choices about how I’d show up for my writing and step-by-step guidance.
I stopped letting those not-enough stories prevent me from showing up with integrity. I’ve become willing to refine as I gather details, facts, or information. I don’t seek perfection. And I trust the evolution of my consciousness.
I’ve also come to understand that staying on the leading edge of awareness is a huge part of why I can explain things so easily. I am deeply attuned to the words, phrases, and ways of explaining things that create confusion. I am not married to the words that cause more harm than good and am not afraid to go back to the drawing board when necessary.
And, true to the unconscious sun placement, the more I’ve done that inner healing work, the more recognition I receive about the esoteric translator that radiates from my being.
A day doesn’t go by where I don’t hear a compliment about my way with words or the way I break things down. I am honored to say that, I receive abundant praise and recognition for what I do .
And the practice of receiving that recognition encourages me to trust that my way with words is enough. And that it is safe to let go, on deeper and deeper levels, the idea that I’m saying the wrong thing or not explaining things well.
It is all unfolding perfectly. And what a beautiful expanding spiral of transformation it is.
