If you are anything like me, you LOVE to journal. But sometimes, you just aren’t sure what to write about. So, today, I am bringing you ninety journal prompts for self-discovery.
Journaling is awesome for so many reasons. For me, getting my thoughts and ideas out onto paper (or the computer!) is one of the best ways for me to really understand what think and how I feel.
When I am feeling stuck in any area of my life, I like to use journal prompts for self-discovery, awareness, and reflection.
Not only does journaling increase your self-awareness, it is a great way to relieve stress, anxiety, and overwhelm. Pouring your thoughts out onto the page gives your mind some breathing room and helps you access solutions you can’t “see” when your mind is very cluttered.
The other unexpected benefit of journaling is that you can work through relationship issues by working out how to express yourself; kind of like roleplaying with a friend, coach, or therapist but with your own mind! This has quickly become one of my favorite uses of my journal.
So, without further ado, carve out some sacred space for yourself and dive into these journal prompts for self-discovery.
I’d recommend doing one journal prompt each day and really go deep with each one.
Julia Cameron, in the Artists Way, recommends a minimum of three pages. I use a Copper 1917 journal and three pages are usually the minimum because the pages are small and I write kind of big.
But, do whatever feels natural to you and fully allows you to explore the prompt.
