I had spent over two years working with a therapist who was a self-proclaimed expert. Her approach ultimately was not effective for me. I worked through many issues from my past, but I never learned how to carry that through to make changes in the present. What I like about you is that you don’t make it all pretty and nice. You are honest in saying that sometimes this is very hard work. You are completely yourself, not some fabricated online persona that I can see right through. I just knew I could trust you because you are so open about sharing your own journey with all of us. Also, you had a different approach that really resonated with me. You are so down-to earth, caring and compassionate.
In the beginning, though, I was somewhat wary. I’ve spent literally thousands of dollars, bought books, done therapy, gone to workshops, done detoxes and cleanses. I was beginning to feel so hopeless and defeated. My focus had been on weight loss. Little did I know that this would be a wonderful journey of befriending and learning to really love and accept myself.
I have gained more perspective in the two months working with you than I have working with anyone else. You are absolutely helping me get to the heart of the matter. I am learning what my basic human needs are, and looking at if they’re being met appropriately. I am learning how to be in integrity with myself and how to stop believing lies I’ve told myself. The biggest change I’ve noticed is recognizing my own negative self-talk. When I catch myself feeling hopeless or defeated, I now know to stop and trace my feeling to what situation is happening and what my thoughts are about that situation.
You are so knowledgeable and well-read. You have a very honest and direct manner, but also a huge amount of sensitivity and compassion. You are hysterically funny, which is such a bonus! As a coach, you provide so much to your clients. You are so generous and giving with your time and resources. If women are tired of the empty promises and really want to get to the truth, then they should work with you. If they are ready to do the necessary work and not expect a quick fix, then they should work with you. They have to be willing to be completely honest with themselves, and that is not always easy, but ultimately becomes the biggest gift they could ever receive.
Working with you has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
